Throughout October 2026, Sudan's armed conflict continued, and the human rights and humanitarian situation worsened. Drone attacks escalated, and civilian deaths rose as residential areas, markets, shelters for displaced people, and health and service facilities were hit. Military operations continue, and damage to populated areas keeps widening, putting civilians at ever greater risk.

At the same time, health and humanitarian conditions deteriorated. Displacement continued, food, water, and basic services ran short, and women and children suffered more. Violations continued too, including killings, arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, killings inside prisons and detention centers, and concerns about fair trial guarantees.
